Northside Baptist is a family, and we desire to relate to each other in truth and love, showing how God has changed our lives because of Jesus Christ (1 John 4:12).

We have made promises to each other to care for each other, speak the truth to each other, love and respect each other, and keep each other accountable. We would love for you to experience the good news of Jesus Christ because we know it is the truth and we know the change it has made in our lives--come out and see what Christ has done for us and what He can do for you!

Discipleship

Jesus has called us to follow Him, and to encourage others to do the same (Matthew 28:18-20). Therefore we believe it is vital for every follower of Jesus to have at least two relationships--an open and honest relationship with a mature follower of Jesus to help us in our walk with Him, and an equally open and honest relationship with a more recent follower of Jesus to help them in their walk with Him. We encourage everyone who is a part of the family of God at Northside to actively engage in at least these two relationships, facilitating and training where needed.

Ladies' Ministry

Periodically throughout the year the ladies at Northside are invited to a group event where a special speaker presents the Bible and good food and fellowship are experienced. These are great times to connect and re-connect, establishing and strengthening relationships that promote living as Christ did. We also have a heart-to-heart program, where ladies are encouraged to become involved in a discipleship relationship with another woman in the church in order to help with struggles and rejoice in God's blessings.

Men's Ministry

Periodically throughout the year, the men of Northside are invited to eat breakfast together, developing new relationships and strengthening old ones. A Bible study follows breakfast, and interaction is encouraged on relevant topics. We are also hoping to re-establish our annual men's retreat, a time of camping, fishing, relaxation, and renewal from God's Word.

rEFuEL (Equipping Families, Elevating the Lord)

We believe families are important to the church family, and the rEFuEL group plans a family-friendly activity once a month to encourage unity, fellowship, rejuvenation, and reflection on doing family God's way.

Sports

We enjoy athletics as a church family, and encourage participation for excercise, sportsmanship, and friendship. In the spring we have three softball teams in the city church league--the Angels ladies' team, and the Falcons (B Division) and Rays (C Division) men's teams. We also run an intra-church league on Friday evenings in the summer, culminating in the Lloyd Schiedel Memorial Tournament. During the fall and winter we have ball hockey in the gym and periodic intra-church ice hockey.
