Study to show thyself
approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

Timothy 2:15)
'Can
we go to AWANA again next week??'
That's the question that most kids ask their parents after
their first Club meeting!
AWANA is a children's program for boys and girls from ages 2
up to Grade 8.
Awana
meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences for
young people. A well-qualified staff of leaders who are
dedicated to Christian ideals provide consistent, positive
teaching every week - training that stresses strong moral and
spiritual values. Clubbers learn about the reality of God, the
truth of the Bible, and are able to find peace - true peace in
a world that's literally filled with violence.
As
a parent you'll appreciate AWANA for many reasons. For
example, you'll know that your child is being led in a
structured, well-prepared program. Materials are superbly
written, designed to stimulate involvement and develop an
eagerness for learning. Young people are able to discover the
importance of being team members, sharing thoughts and
possessions, becoming more responsive to authority and
learning discipline.
Every
Club night consists of three segments:
1.
Game Time - This is the club segment when children are
introduced to fun games on the unique AWANA Game Circle. It
provides an opportunity for young people to develop important
social skills, such as sharing, teamwork, sportsmanship etc.
while unleashing their natural energy and enthusiasm.
2.
Handbook Time - Clubbers progress through handbooks
written for their specific age group which emphasize the
importance of God's Word for sound living. Everyone can earn a
number of awards as they complete the achievement-oriented
learning segments.
3.
Council Time - This is a general session for everyone.
It's a quality time for group Bible study and singing,
followed by awards and recognition for individual handbook
progress.

Testimonies
Hi, my name is Mark Wittich, I am 10 years old, and I want to
tell you about AWANA. I am in the Truth and Training Club which
meets every Wednesday night at Northside Baptist Church from
6:55 pm to 8:30 pm. AWANA has so many things that make it fun,
exciting, and challenging. Every week there is a different theme
that is always fun and crazy and a great snack to go with it.
It’s great getting together with friends every week, and my
favorite parts are game time and saying Bible verses from my
AWANA handbook. You can win prizes and awards for completing
sections in your handbook, as well as earning “AWANA bucks” to
spend at the annual Fun Fair and in the annual AWANA store. One
of the main things we do at AWANA is learn from the Bible,
whether it’s memorizing verses in our handbooks, reading parts
of the Bible to complete other sections in our handbooks, or
hearing our leaders teach us from the Bible every week. We learn
lots of great stories from the Bible and we learn how we can
please God in our relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus
Christ. I think everybody should come to AWANA because there are
always fun games to play, lots of verses and other things to
learn from the Bible, and awards and prizes to win. I hope to
see you there this Wednesday!
